Nvidia's main motive of launching these cards is to giving miners GPU's that are made specifically for mining cryptocurrency. This may result that gamers will be getting gaming GPU's before miners buy them for crypto mining. Nvidia themselves wrote a blog on it describing the difference between GeForce and CMP.
