Intel to launch Rocket Lake-S CPU's in the first quarter of 2021.

"Intel has previewed products coming to market later in 2021, including 11th Gen Intel® Core™ S-series desktop processors (code-named “Rocket Lake-S”) and its next-generation processors (code-named “Alder Lake”)."

On the courteous stage of CES 2021 Intel announced their new flagship Rocket Lake-S and Alder Lake CPU's to launch in the first quarter. As per some sources it is said that these CPU's are made to compete against AMD's Zen 3 architecture.

Their first desktop CPU based on Rocket Lake-S will be the Core i9 11900K. This CPU as some sources say will completely shred the Ryzen 9 5950x.
Their new Core i9 11900k will have 8 cores and 16 threads and will be based on Intel's old 14nm fabrication process instead of their latest 10nm process. They say that their new flagship CPU, the Core i9 11900K will have less cores than their latest offering but will have 19% improvement in Instruction per Cycle. They said this is due to their latest Cypress Cove Cores which give better performance without needing more cores. Here are the specs of the Core i9 11900K that Intel announced in CES 2021-

CORE i9 11900k-
8 Cores, 16 Threads
Turbo boost up to 5.3 Ghz
14nm fabrication process
Cypress Cove Cores
Support for DDR-4 3200Mhz RAM
Support for 20 PCI-E Lanes
50% Integrated Graphics Improvement
compared to Core i9 10900k
19% more
Instruction per Cycle compared to Core i9 10900k
18% more Geekbench 5 Single Core score compared to
Core i9 10900k

Nvidia CMP HX GPU Series: A series of GPU's specifically made for cryptomining.

I know I am late at covering this topic. But, late better than never.                                                   Nvidia's new CMP HX GPU lineup targets crypto miners. These cards have better mining hash rates than any other GPU. Nvidia's main motive of launching these cards is to giving miners GPU's that are made specifically for mining cryptocurrency. This may result that gamers will be getting gaming GPU's before miners buy them for crypto mining.                          Nvidia themselves wrote a blog on it describing the difference between GeForce and CMP. "GeForce Is Made for Gaming, CMP Is Made to Mine.  We’re limiting the hash rate of GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs so they’re less desirable to miners and launching NVIDIA CMP for professional mining," Source: Nvidia's Blog  ...

Apple launches their own silicon chip: Apple M1 Review

Apple has launched their first silicon chip- M1, on the 17th of November, 2020. It is based on ARM's A14 chip and is the first processor based on the 5nm fabrication process. Apple's M1 has 8 cores for the CPU and 8 cores for the GPU, making a total of 16 cores. Out of the 8 cores for the CPU, 4 cores are dedicated for High Power Performance, while the other 4 cores are dedicated for Low Power Efficiency.                           As for the onboard 8 core GPU, it has a total 128 compute units and 2.6 Teraflops of throughput. There is one exception for the GPU in the M1 chip used in the entry level MacBook Air, as it has 7 cores instead of 8 cores.                         The M1 chip also has unified memory, making no need for extra RAM. It means it comes with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR4X-4266 MHz SDRAM, depending on your device.     ...
